of car rides and potty breaks....

We made rather good time yesterday, considering we left at the beginning of the thunderstorm, which we then drove through for about 45 minutes. Of course, the trip started with me stopping to gas up the car, because I forgot to do that the night before.

Mapquest has given us an estimate of 8 hours and that trip took 9 hours and 10 minutes. We stopped for gas at the beginning, took a potty break at the 3 hour mark, and made out last stopped for lunch, gas and another potty break somewhere north of Springfield, Ill. And we didn't go through any pull-up!! Anna managed to stay dry the whole trip, including waking up in the morning. A great feat for such a little child.

Anna is in seventh heaven with having PaPa and five dogs. In case you are trying to do the dog math - Remmie and Jake (Anna's dogs), Josie and Dakota (my brother's dogs) and Angus (my parents spoiled, oversized rat - aka toy poodle). Also, she showed up and had gifts - a new wagon, stuffed Mickey Mouse and Tigger, and new clothes. As mentioned before, no one spoils her as much as my parents.

A couple of new pictures, which are actually rather old pictures from our first days together. The photos were taken by Malia's mother, who is very talented.
