We survived!!

We survived dance recital!! I didn't have a moment of panic. When the girls were being lead out for their dance, the audience could hear (but not see) one of the girls calling for her mommy. I thought it was Anna for a couple of moments, but it wasn't. Anna did extremely good, considering she is the youngest in the class and didn't start class until this spring.

I am too tired to upload a bunch of photos tonight...if you want to see them all, go to our shutterfly site (link over to the side).

catching up....

It's been a busy couple of weeks. First I made a quick trip to DC - well, as quick as possible when one has to drive 2-3 hours to an airport, got back in time to get ready for Anna's first playdate with a friend from school, three day weekend, then back out on the road for an overnight - with getting back in town in time for our first dance recital rehearsal. It's only 7pm and I am ready for bed.

Here are photos from the last couple of weeks:

Dance pictures...

Tonight was picture night at dance class. With recital three weeks away, it was time to get professional photos - before little girls have a chance to destroy their dance customs at rehearsal, recital, or play. Anna is standing next to the girl in purple. Notice how long her hair is? We are almost at the ten inches for Locks of Love.

On Sunday, we did what we usually do - sleep in (ok...sleep until 7:30) and then go to Panera (aka the bagel place) for asiago cheese bagels. Well, I was reading the Sunday paper and Anna decided she also needed to read a section of the paper.

Happy Mother's Day!!

I cannot believe this is my third mother's day with Anna (and second in Missouri).

But the more exciting thing (other then getting to spend the last few days with my parents) is that this is Jessica's first Mother's Day as mommy to baby cousin Gavin!!

Happy Mother's Day, Jessica! I hope you enjoy the day!!

Also, in reflection - everyday with Anna is a mother's day for me.

If you want to see all the pictures from yesterday when Anna's playmate Dustin and his mom, Debbie, came over - check out our shutterfly site. Otherwise, here are some photos from yesterday.

ostriped skirt and red with white polka-dot Minnie flip-flops (Anna dressed herself). But we can discuss the new rocking chair. Mama and Papa bought us matching rocking chairs for the back patio area. The are so comfy and will gets lots of use.

pink hair...and playing Dorothy...

Anna has been seeing kids with pink, blue or purple streaks in their hair and wanted it for herself. So, today we hit a beauty supply store and bought a hairspray that makes her hair pink. To see the results go to the following link http://myprincessintraining.shutterfly.com/.
