So much for toddler containment...

Up until today, Anna was content to wait in her bed for me to come get her in the mornings. I am not sure what changed - probably jinxed myself my talking about this with another mom. So, I am getting ready to step in the shower this morning, with the hope of showering before munchin wakes up. No such luck, as I step into the shower, I hear noise coming from her room - well, I assumed it was her room. Nope, Anna was waiting for me at the gate. So, little miss smarty-pants climbed off her bed, marched herself thru her room and the loft, and was waiting at the gate for me to get her.

What is she going to learn next? Please, do not answer that question.

Now that you all have had your chuckle of the day...I am head for more de-cluttering and general get the house ready for sale tasks.

Finally...a start date and an end date...

First cute pictures and then the real post....

Discovering the joy of swaying backwards and forwards on a chain link fence.

Taking a break after playing hard.

I talked with the FHWA HR people today. Relocation expenses have been approved, so I was able to set a start date. Since the munchin and I have appointments the second week of October, and my choices of reporting dates were Oct. 2, 15, and 29 - I am starting October 29. So, my last day at the current job is October 19. Munchin's last day at daycare here in Indy will be Oct. 18 or 19. I might take her to work with me on the 19th.

So, next week I will be out in Jeff City looking at rental houses and daycares. Hopefully, I will be able to sign a lease and get the paperwork done for both the rental and daycare. Next task...movers.

Nothing New

Nothing new on the move...I am still waiting on relocation expenses to be approved before I can set a start date. And with the end of the federal fiscal year approaching, I might not hear anything until after October 1 and the new fiscal year.

But if one more person tells me I have to declutter my house in order to sell it, I may commit murder. I get the fact I have stuff and others don't want to see that stuff...why do you think I am starting to pack said stuff? OK, done with rant.

Here is my favorite Anna photo....

Above is a wonderful picture taken by Cris Klika. We visited the zoo the other day and Anna, along with the Klika girls, was playing in the water park. You can see the joy on her face.

Test - Let's see if this works...

I figured with moving away, it is only fair (and easier for me) to create a blog for our friends to check in on how we are doing in the new place. I am limiting the blog to those invite, so if you are reading this, you are part of a limited circle of people. I really didn't want the whole world to read about Anna and I. But I wanted a rather simple way to keep everyone up to date with activities, milestones, and photos.

I will have more details tomorrow on the new job once I talk to the HR people. Details should include relocation package, if there is one, salary, start date, etc.
