house hunting update...

We made an offer on the house pictured from this weekend (the white brick house with the red guest bedroom). The seller immediately countered - and didn't come off the mark all that much. So, we counter-countered and are waiting for an answer.

Truthfully, if I don't like the counter, I am willing to walk away. While this is the first house that I have truly liked, I don't have any emotional investment in the house or even the Jeff City area (especially knowing that in 2-5 years I'll be moving to another division/state). It is kind of nice to have an emotional detachment while house hunting and negotiating to buy.
