In this house, you walk into a living room with soaring ceilings that are done in pine planks. There are are the same soaring, pine plank ceilings in the kitchen. The kitchen has a unique hood for the range top and a built in desk, that would make a nice place to sit and pay bills.
Additionally, the master bedroom is huge (meaning there are no worries in getting my furniture to fit in the room, there is a main level garage; large laundry room with folding counter and storage space and sink; large (20 x 30) finished family room in basement; large unfinished storage area in basement; and, lastly (for the pros) the neighborhood is really good - like a Carmel or Geist neighborhood. This neighborhood attaches to a neighborhood that has houses in the $400,000s.
So, the cons: 1) the carpet needs stretching; 2) there is a crack in the basement through which water is leaking (rather noticeable today because it was raining); 3) there is carpet in both full bathrooms - which would have to go and be replaced with tile; 4) the master bathroom has only a tub - no shower (the house was built in 1987, so I have no explanation has to why only a tub; 5) the landscaping in the back slopes towards the house, which explains the seeping crack in the basement wall; and 6) needs a new deck.
Here are a few pictures:
