Fashion Experiment - Week 1

Last week, we experienced a mini-meltdown because Anna didn't get to choose her own shoes. The week before, we experienced issues in that she wouldn't get dressed because she didn't like my outfit choices. So, we are running a dress-yourself pilot program this week.

Here is outfit one - notice the whimsical summer skirt with flowers. She paired this skirt with a short sleeved white t-shirt saying "sweet as candy" layered over a red long-sleeve t-shirts. The outfit is completed with flip flops, Anna's shoes of choice. Anna is not letting the weather dictate her fashion choices, it was about 42 degrees when we left for daycare this morning.

Outfit number two - sleeveless, pink with polka-dots, Mickey Mouse dress layered over a long sleeve winter t-shirts with pink sleeves. She decided she needed tights, not leggings. So, she added ankle tights, because then she could wear her flip flops.

Here is last nights going to gymnastics outfit. I totally love this outfit, which is a red and white striped dress with matching leggings (from Hanna Andersson). She completed the outfit with Minni Mouse flip flop. The outfit was a hit with several competes from other moms and the older girls who trained at the same time as Anna's class.

Showing off her flexibility and new gymnastics leotard. These photos show that she is all torso and almost no legs...ok, legs and torso are about the same length.

Friday's outfit had a little mom intervention - because today's high is somewhere in the 50s and she wanted to wear a tank top! So, a compromise was reached in which she layered a long sleeved t-shirt (with white and purple striped sleeves) under the hot pink tank top. Anna than opted for pink leggings. Don't worry she did wear shoes - well, the "green" flip flops which were still in the car when I was taking pictures this morning.

So, what do you think? Have a favorite outfit? Should I just let the experiment continue and limit my involvement to making sure clothes are clean and underwear is worn?
